Speculative fiction, that does not fit into the conventions of the real world (Neugebauer 2014) and realist fiction, possible stories with no appearance of the supernatural (Lukens 2003, p. 14) present a misogynistic view of females and their role in society. Misogyny is defined as dislike, contempt or prejudice against women (Oxford Dictionary 2017). Both speculative and realist fiction present misogyny in one way by portraying women as a damsel in distress. In these genres of fiction, there is also a tendency to objectify and sexualise women, in that they are not seen as people with real human emotions, needs and wants, but as objects of a man’s desire and affection. One of these many ways is in the form of sleep. In fairy tales, the passive female character is often seen as asleep, such as Aurora in Sleeping Beauty (Perrault, n.d.) and Snow White in Snow White (Grimm Grimm, 1812). Sleep is considered one of the most passive states (Nolan 2009, p. 6), which is why women are often viewed in this perspective, their sleeping state is a symbol for their projected view in society. These princesses are awaiting their prince to save them from this state, further reiterating the damsel in distress stigma. This archetype has been prevalent in literature since very early, such as Sleeping Beauty, but is still existent in modern literature, especially aimed at young adults. In fantasy novels such as The Twilight Saga by Stephanie Meyer (2005-2008), Bella Swan, the protagonist, is portrayed as this damsel in distress, needing Edward to save her from herself. This is most prominent in the second instalment of the saga, New Moon (Meyer, 2006). When Edward leaves Bella in a bid to save her, as â€Å"[Edward is] no good for [Bella]† (p.61), she enters a state of numbn ess, unable to function without him, leading to Bella making seemingly reckless decisions, such as jumping off a cliff (p. 316). To overcome these challenges, Sony sought a new CEO who had Japanese background (Hiram) whose fundamental aim was to restructure the organization and strategize a new. The primary strategy was to integrate the hardware and software business targeting emerging markets where the competition is less hyper such as India. Sony is hitting a global comeback. Sony got into a joint venture with Samsung in manufacturing flat-screen TVs so as to get in action since it was late, and also committed self to bringing it to profitability after eight years of losses (Wilkie et al. 2015). Sony and Samsung had a venture in the production of liquid crystal display, and it broke it in 2011, this was to enable Sony to expand its business and have a solo profit share. Also, it broke off with Eriksson in mobile phones manufacture (the two had come together so they would manufacture a phone with very high digital photography abilities) this was after the birth of Walkman phones (The star, 2009). Again Sonys main core businesses remained three i.e. Sony Pictures, the play station division and selling image sensors to Apple for the I-Phone. Sony is no longer in the electronics company which was originally a core business alongside TV business. A part of VIAo laptops was recently sold. The market share of Sony has recently stabilized, and there are profits realized from mobile, tablets and laptop sales and also image sensors. Sonys main objective is on the sustainability of environment; this is because clients views are more important than company views, they ensure the employees keep advancing their knowledge by various training programs and again it takes care of both local and global environment accordingly. Recommendations With the increasing competition, Sony needs to discover market leadership in the commodity that is performing well such as semiconductor, medical imaging, and financial businesses. Again it should seek other suppliers for image processor raw material (rare earth); this is because the sole China supplier has deteriorating political relations with Japan. The poet uses strong stressed words to make them more powerful e.g.: Deserts of vast eternity. This personifies his feeling we see how emotion can grow naturally into something that is immense and powerful. Marvell also expresses the admiration of time running out when he illustrates Timehurrying near. It increases the feeling of anxiety because time is coming closer. In Marvels poem the sentences are very short in length and disjointed through the use of lots of punctuation. As a consequence, the poem seems very broken up and sharp which makes the reader read the poem at a much faster pace. In some ways this speed makes it more excitable which adds to the more lusty aspect of the poem.The mood is at first reckless and jokey it then moves on to being more reflective, serious and considering death. The more regular, dynamic rhythm of the closing stanza gives us a sense of the poets energetic state of mind. The last line is arresting in that it contains less syllables than those above it. There is an overall regular rhyme scheme of aabbccdd apart from the half rhymes in the second stanza. The words Eternity and Virginity only half-rhyme. To His Coy Mistress is a persuasive poem written to a female lover, whereas The Unequal Fetters is written as a warning to women. This poem gives a womens view of love and marriage. Her views are completely different to the ones of To His Coy Mistress in the way that she believes that the fetters between men and women are unequal. Anne Finch has written her poem in four clear verses rather than 3 stanzas. Although both poems start off in the same attitude of romance.In the first verse Anne Finch uses the image of the possibility of time standing still, she says Could we stop the time thats flying. Or recall it when tis past, this means that if time stood still then it would be worth loving. Even though he has now changed her attitude in the poem it is not as sickening as the attitude in the second stanza of To His Coy Mistress. The third verse makes it clear about her feelings of the inequality and shows her anger towards men by writing, Free as Natures first intention was to make us, Ill be found, Nor by subtle Mans invention Yield to be in fetters bound.This means that when a female is born she is born free but then because of men fooling you into there sincere love and into marriage, women are trapped by men. The final verse of The Unequal Fetters she concludes that Marriage does but slightly tie men Whilst close prisoners we remain. She means that women are chained by marriage while men are free and can stretch At the full length of all their chain. The Unequal Fetters refers to the unequal lengths of chain men and women have.Her poem shows how wrongly men treat women just as in To His Coy Mistress.
